Loctite 561 is a low strength anaerobic thread sealant material designed for the locking and sealing of pre-torqued metal pipes and fittings. It is supplied as a wax-like semi-solid, packaged in a self-feeding applicator stick. This product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration.
